With the well know and Oregonian loved race, Hood to Coast approaching we decided to sit down and talk about acupuncture for runners. Regardless of weather you are training for Hood to Coast, jog around your neighborhood, or like to walk for fun acupuncture is for you! As Hood to Coast gets closer we have had an influx of patients that have come in for running related needs. Did you know that acupuncture is beneficial before you run a big race like Hood to Coast as well as after?

Whenever you are exercising it is important to make sure that you are spending as much time recovering as you are training. Acupuncture promotes blood flow to overworked and injured areas which can help aid in a faster recovery. It also gets deep into the muscles to fully relax and restore the body’s natural motion. This allows you to keep training and feel like your best self!

Acupuncture can also help with injuries that you develop while running. Many of our patients come in seeking treatment for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, runners knee, tendonitis, low back pain, and many more.
